Challenge

A new 10,000 lb/hr poultry cooking, cooling, and deboning operation was needed to replace an outdated process in a Missouri processing plant. The unique challenge was the old line had to be removed and the new line had to be up and running in 31 days.

Solution

As the corporate project engineer responsible for this project, I worked in collaboration with the plant team to develope the scope, resource requirements, create milestones and tasks, then manage the daily activities to ensure the timeline was achieved.

This project included the installation of a 70’ L x 6’ Dia continuous screw cooker, cooling tank, and 4 deboning lines with extensive hydraulic, steam and electrical requirements.

Outcome

Project was completed on time and on budget
